“Some people strive for the moon, others are content with retiring among the stars.

Some say the devil is in the details, and that those who seek truth, seek death.

Some say the s u n rises for those who have the drive to seek its light, and the temperance to accept failures in doing so.

Some say justice and truth are lies, and not hierophants nor priestesses see beyond the veil.

Some say that magicians are dead and gone, their fell arts hanged and their power lost.

Some say that lovers are the first to fall, and and that sentiment is dust between the wheels of a great chariot.

Some say that my strength comes from will, others from fortune.

Some say I’ve defied the rage of emperors, and seen through the wiles of empresses.

Some say I’m alone, a hermit in a blank wasteland, others a tower above a hollow sea.

Some say that I’m a fool for attempting to see the world as a canvas and myself the paint.

I am all, and none. I am the arbiter. I am the observer. I am salvation and condemnation.

I

am

Judgment.”
